Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition, Singapore : Review continues...

What a good movie...despite watching it many times already and boy, was the theatre packed...well, this first movie from Bay really started growing the fandom again...

"ok, leaving the theatre now..."

(In case you've not read the 1st part of the review, please click here. Otherwise, please proceed)

Following the Saturn moon visit to The Nemesis and the aftermath of the battle that ensues between the Autobots and the Decepticons, it is time for repairs and recuperation... Some of the highlights in this exhibition are in this Zone by the way...

Zone 6 : The Nest

Behold...the 7m tall Optimus Prime and Bumblebee!

Remember the metal Transformium? Yes, the metal from which the Transformers are made from...only found in Bay's world...

Detailed description of Transformium

Instead of seeing it in the movie world, witness the real "Transformium" in action...reacting to the beats of various songs...(they are actually, iron fillings taking on different shapes through the use of electro-magnets...)

Please click on the video

Zone 7 : The Panel

This is actually the activity zone, you may release your creativity prowess here...try your hands and create your own masterpiece...

You don't need Transformium...playdoh will do..haha..

To your right, prototype displays and their artwork...

We are nearing the end of the exhibition. Last stop being the collectors' showcase. So, try to recognize the series and the characters as proof that you are indeed an avid fan...

One final photo shot opportunity before the exit..."package" yourself in the latest TF : AOE packaging as a souvenir...

It's time to say goodbye...I believe it has been time well-spent, better here than hours window shopping in Orchard Road. Whether money well-spent, questionable...was expecting more toys on display (especially those from earlier series such as Unicron trilogy, RID etc.), so in this aspect, it's a let-down for me. Probably here, collectors are more private or reserved as most of the displayed collection came from 3 collectors (namely David, Chee Seong, Tyron)...hmm...maybe that's the reason for the limited displays.

Anyhow, if you have not been to the earlier 2 Expo, then don't miss this final leg of the 30th Anniversary Exhibition at the Singapore Science Centre. Exhibition ends 1 March 2015.

Exit

After spending S$30, this is the only lunch I could afford thereafter...haha...
